Chapter 10

I have dreamt the last few nights of being chased by a large white bird. I am in a boat, presumably on a fishing trip, whilst the bird slowly circles up ahead. Nothing happens and I wake up.

Chapter 9

The feelings of an adolescent boy, such as myself, are subject to change. In much the same manner as the attentions of a young pup can be swayed by the introduction of a new ball of some shape or design, so too might the dedication of a young chap prove all too brief in the face of an array of other pretty young things of all shapes and sizes.

I saw Arnold and Anna at the corner shop at break time and could not help but gush. Arnold was curt, as one would expect; Anna appeared reticent. Does no-one believe in the possibility of a happy ending? Deus ex machina?

Chapter 7

My life is one of utmost resentment at present. Granted, this is hardly the way to start any letter, let alone to one to whom you profess an undying and unquestioning love. Let it not be in question; I am certainly beginning to question it. A kiss? With Hugo? The body shivers.

Chapter 6

It feels like an age since I have opened my notebook to write to you. I suppose since personal communications seem to have taken rather a front foot, it has felt a superfluous action, but one always picks up those old habits I suppose and, for want of a better offer, I feel compelled to write again detailing another spurt of nonsense that seems to make up my being.
