Nick Newert was born and resides in Central New York State. He has worked as a stock clerk, news camera operator, office drone, medical records manager, and television director. When he was Senior (well, only) Copy Editor for Eat Your Serial, he stressed over comma placement and other wonderful bits of grammar. Or horrid bits of grammar. Depends on your perspective. Nick saw it both ways.

Now, as Editorial Director, Nick does Editorial Director-like things and certainly doesn’t stress over comma placement. Not at all. Nope. Well, since we’re talking about commas, Nick sees what you’re writing there, and he really, REALLY thinks you’re going to want to  put one between those two words. Not, not those two, the other two. Yeah, right there. Ok, we’re cool now.

When not looking for a reason, any reason, to put more commas into a story, Nick can be found doing his best to be a curmudgeon. He also holds an unhealthy amount of movie and comic book trivia (he’s basically a nerd). He has also been known, on rare occasions, to hold unhealthy amounts of whiskey.
